The Weekend

The photos are of our new campground. Notice the chain link fence with the barb wire at the top. There is a road at the top of the levee behind us - called the Levee Road. The Border Patrol is up and down it a lot (helicopter flew over about 4 times yesterday - one time at tree level). Notice the flag flying from the brisk wind. When we got here, the place seem pretty full. As each day goes by, we are seeing more and more empty lots. Most will leave the first of April.

Yesterday we went to the Rio Grande Valley Premier Outlet Mall. Ate lunch at Subway and, later, had ice creme too. Big surprise there, huh. Bought a few items - not sure we saved any money.

Back at camp, we had some local entertainment for $3/head.

Today we went swimming and then to the ice cream social (weight loss is not an option at this rate). Returned to the club house later in the evening to play Eucher. There were 8 tables and we moved from table to table depending on who won. We didn't win - didn't even come close - but had a good time.

Looks like a border town! HA! Does your dish work behind the trailer like it is?

Larry & Lynn - Home Is Where We Park It!!! said...

Yes it does. It's pointed up over the camper. We don't have any room in front or to the side of the camper. We park the truck at the side and the flag is in the front. Larry wanted it tucked away and others have there's too. Good to hear from you.
